FileKit tools keep files on your device wherever possible, so your data stays private and under your control.
On-device processing
46 of our tools process files entirely in your browser using Web Workers and WebAssembly. No file contents, filenames, or metadata are sent to our servers.
Nothing to collect
We can't see your files even if we wanted to — they never reach us. Analytics are cookieless and never receive file contents.

What we don't collect

Advanced tools stay on your device
Tools such as Smart CSV Cleaner process your files entirely on your device. FileKit does not receive, store, or process these files on a server, so your data remains private.
FileKit Drop (peer transfer)
FileKit Drop sends file bytes directly between your devices over encrypted WebRTC (DTLS). Pairing uses short signaling messages (room presence) only — FileKit does not store file contents. Camera access is not required. If a TURN relay is used for NAT traversal, traffic remains encrypted between peers; remote speed depends on the sender's upload bandwidth.
Feedback & bug reports
If you use Report a bug / Send feedback in the footer, your message, optional reply email, current page URL, and optional screenshot are sent through our server to the FileKit inbox (Gmail) so we can reply and fix issues. That mail stays in the inbox until we delete it. This is separate from on-device tool processing — your tool files are still not uploaded for conversion or editing.
